Hi guys I have my induction next month at Kentish Town station but cannot figure out how best to get up there.

It's for 2 days so ideally wanted to stay up there over night. Do I go up by train or car? has anyone done it?

Many thanks

Where are you coming from?

Only you can decide what works out best for you. Personally I would opt for a hotel.

You want to know if you can get to a train station by train? Am I missing something here?

 No, am wanting to know did people take their own car and stay at hotel, if so where?

Or just travel up on the day and hope they are not delayed.

I have always used my car for everything averaging 50k a year so using public transport ironically is a bit daunting.

I also have a motorbike but what with all the thefts in London am wary using that.

If you bike over to Otford you can get a direct train to Kentish Town, or you can get a train from Maidstone East and change at Otford or Bromley South.

For the sake of us that live in London, please don't take your car into London. There is completely adequate public transport. It is slow and tedious driving into London in any case. If you are going to work for Thameslink then you should probably get your head around what their routes are, which include regular trains from St Pancras to Kentish Town. There is no need to take an Uber, especially if your final destination is the train station itself.

If you are worried about delays, book yourself on a train a bit earlier than is strictly necessary.

TBH it was an ever so slightly stupid question.
