Maidstone East line platform extensions

When will all platforms on the Maidstone East line be extended to take 8 carriage trains? It seems a waste to have 6 carriage 465/466 combinations occupying peak hour slots into Victoria when they could be 8 carriages once the platforms are extended. Are these trains particularly overcrowded during rush hour?
