While taking the time to explore the Thames branchlines, I ended up at Maidenhead to catch the train to Marlow and return, anyway while I was waiting in the quite nice waiting room on platform 4/5 with the toilets and platform office as well, I noticed the platform office had remote control panels for both sets of lifts on the platforms - must be the first time I've came across panels like these which had a key switch for normal or remote controlled and buttons so in theory you could control the movement of the lift without leaving the nice cosy office!

Anyone from the western region able to tell me any more on them?

Just found them to be really unique, still is there any other location with the same kind of setup?
