Is there any plans for the Magic Buses leaving the Manchester area? I noticed more 42s going to East Didsbury (Parrswood). Less 42s are going into Stockport. Now every 20 minutes.

In my opinion I think the magic buses will be gone in the next few years.

What is everyone elses views?

Isn't Magic Bus part of the Stagecoach Group?

Magicbus stopped around 2005 in Glasgow. I only remember 2 routes ,162 to Bailleston and 175 to Castlemilk.

Magic Bus will be staying in Manchester, however the E400Hs now arriving for regular Stagecoach services will displace Tridents onto Magic Bus routes, leading to the withdrawal of the Dennis Dragons.

Cannot see the point of Magic Bus anymore these days. It was just a Low Cost Stagecoach Operation brought into areas to compete with other local bus operators.

I have to agree with you. Putting out of date buses on is a waste of time, put them some where they needed. In a scrap yard or on driver training.

The Dennis Dragons and Volvo Olympians on the Wilmslow Road corridor are beasts.
Had what could have been probably my last Dennis Dragon bash down there on Monday, with them now being so rare and on the edge of complete withdrawal.

A majority of the Magic Bus services are now run with low floor buses.

But now it acts as a deterrent to other operators as they're not just trying to compete with normal Stagecoach but their own low-cost subsidiary too.
