Finally got through the tests, interview and medical and have a start date of July 8th for training at Manchester for Conductor. So wish I'd made the move before now.

Thank you. Made to feel welcome by staff even when fact finding for the interview process.

Put my notice in on Friday night to allow for a week buffer before the course starts. See you there

Does anyone know whether northern request your sickness record before starting? I'm due to hopefully start in September as a driver but due an operation in next few weeks which my employer said will put me a sickness advisory due to me having a few weeks off before Christmas too. Don't want to be seen as someone who's always on sick before I start

Great news.

Am I in order to ask how long the recruitment process took?

I applied for a conductors role at Manchester Victoria back in April but sadly failed the paper sift.

There's been a further couple of recent jobs for conductors from the Manchester stations that went out on their careers board but they went after a few days which I am only assuming is because of the volume of applicants.

All I'll say is - you've got a job than many people have not been successful to get, so please make the most of the new career and I wish you all the best.

Have you been given a start date in September?

No not yet, was just told that it would be likely around September. Heard theees a course each month till then but who knows.

When did you pass your psychometrics and medical?

Just asking as I have just passed my psychometrics recently, and am waiting on a medical now
