Trains arrive at Lymington Pier at xx22 and xx52. Ferries depart at xx00.

Through tickets offer the xx22 train and a 38 minute wait. Is the 8 minute connection off the xx52 ever possible, or is it too tight?

On the return journey there's a 12 minute connection. Is that reliable?

I haven’t done it since Covid, but you should be OK if you don’t dawdle: it is best to be at the front of the train. However, neither party waits for the other. The same applies on the return.

Wightlink have a 15 min check in time for foot passengers but I have just turned up at Yarmouth once about 5 mins before and been let on.

The official connection time is listed as 10 mins, but I can't speak to reliability.
