LX454 what happened?

I have been watching the LX454 from ZURICH to LONDON CITY and it was an Avro. I watched it from it's descent into city but it failed to land and went off, entered a holding pattern around southend then went off into Cambridgeshire then came down and landed into Stansted.

What happened and why? What happened at City and why did it go to stansted? Couldnt he just have another go at City? Was city not good for Landing, I mean is there any high winds there at the moment because I noticed that another plane landing there earlier had completed a go around before coming in to land for a second time, but it turned around over the Grays area much quicker and not as far as the Swiss one. I bet the passengers were not impressed expecting to come into city and ending up in the Essex countryside!

If anyone could shed any light as to what happened that would be much appreciated.

Looks like there is a strongish crosswind. Not a problem at bigger airports but given how tight City is the margin could be less. Also the tall buildings can generate turbulance. Other then that could be tech issues

City does get badly affected by strong wind- narrow and short runway, as noted, with little margin for error, and with the Isel of Dogs to the West and other buildings in the area, the conditions are ideal for producing nastily turbulent gusts.

City's really a rather poor location for an airport on any measure other than proximity to the financial districts of London. But then Heathrow's not ideal (prone to fog like City), the Thames estuary would be pretty poor too (ditto)- Stansted and Gatwick are rather better locations, as would have been Great Missenden

The weather is quite wet here and I'm only 15 miles away from central London, so I'd hazard a guess the visibility and / or ceiling may have gone below minima as well.
