Is it possible to buy a through ticket that covers me in case my Luxembourg to Brussels journey is delayed causing me to miss the Eurostar and/or the Eurostar is delayed causing me to miss my journey north from London? Work is paying so cost is not a major consideration.
A few notes:
* For Luxembourg-Brussels, buy a Eurostar to “Any Belgian Station” and a single from Arlon to Luxembourg. You can just stay on a through train, though you might have to change in Arlon anyway. Not sure about policy around delays.
* For the UK leg, use TrainSplit or a ticket office to book a ticket from London International (CIV) to New Mills. This means you’re officially covered for delays, although generally train staff are lenient anyway.

seat61 is an excellent resource for this sort of thing, by the way.

Thanks for the hint re Seat 61. My route is a single journey from Luxembourg to New Mills so I am travelling one way Luxembourg > Brussels > London > New Mills. I am worried about the Eurostar connection in Brussels in particular.

I'm not sure on the precise situation here, but some guesses:
If the delay occurred after Arlon, you'd be traveling exclusively on the Eurostar ticket so it'd be hard to imagine they'd deny you travel on the next train.
Eurostar and SNCB are both members of Railteam, who guarantee connections between each other under the HOTNAT (hop on the next available train) scheme - but only between "high-speed" services, which they don't seem to define.
And there's always the chance of leniency beyond what's officially allowed, which makes things more complicated.
Keep in mind that Eurostar requires you to get to the station quite early for check-in, so you'll have enough time in Brussels anyway that things have to go seriously wrong before you miss the connection.
The timetable will give you 90min in Brussels which is double the ES checkin time, so a reasonable buffer.
But if there's a 2hr gap if you miss the ES you could consider allowing an extra hour - last time I travelled that way was almost exactly 5 years ago, and I recalled we did that, grabbed some lunch and sat in the sun outside the station.
