Luton Airport Parkway

I'm flying from Luton Airport next Friday and will be arriving on the train. Does anyone know how long I should leave for the shuttle bus between Luton Airport Parkway station & the airport (how long does it take & how frequent is it) - also does it cost any money?

I was hoping to take the train all the way to Berlin, but sadly the best offer I could find was in the region of £450 for 2 persons - EasyJet's offering was £200 for both of us.

when i worked for easyjet at ltn i use to commute using the bus from the station, it's free and takes between 5-15 mins depending on traffic, busses turn up when ever they feel like it but usually they wait till the next one arrives before leaving the terminal and station, iirc there are 3 or 4 busses on the circuit,

living in the area I would advise to give yourself a good time window that road leading from the station to the airport is undergoing widening at the moment and can become conjested sometimes. The last time i went through there were temporary traffic lights for the road works.

Agreeing with westcoaster, the buses are free, normally operating every 10 minutes at most (although if there is a queue where there is a gap in the service you may have to wait for the next one - although that is rare). They pick up directly outside the station entrance and take upto 15 minutes to take you to the terminal entrance at the airport.

To be on the safe side, I would say leave about 30-40 minutes for the transfer.

Great, many thanks. I'm arriving at 1009 off a MML train which I'm getting on at Leicester (connection from B'ham). Fight isn't 'til 1300, and check-in opens at 1100, so hopefully should be ok.

enjoy you trip mojo its a five min walk from sxf to the station (there is a free bus), hope you have a good time, and can understand the ticket machines better than i did? iirc its about 20-30 mins by train to one of the many station's i got off at something zoo hbf and that was pretty central, near the wall and check point charley.

I was involved in the opening of LAP Whilst i was Area Business Manager at Thameslink, is the place standing the test of time, the Queen opened the place, i was really worried the place was built out of grey plastic.

The station is probabily the best feature of this town its the only thing that looks like it has'nt been hit by a US airstrike (haha) it still maintains all its ultra-modern features and sets an example to other stations in the area.

It's not an "outside-EU" flight - where check in can open anything up to 3h30 before flight departure.
