Hi!
Booked a King's Cross - Edinburgh trip for September, had to play an eternity of seat plan lottery to get forward facing seats on the right side of the train with an actual view, not just an inch slice of a window, cause the view outside is on my bucket list, not the interior of the train.
Here's where it gets interesting.
Common sense, the seat plan on "The Man in Seat 61" site, and Lumo's virtual tour says B35-36 are in the middle of the window. HOWEVER, the seat plan on Lumo's website marks it as a partial view?
Sure it can't be, for the seats in front and on bcak of it are partials, so that would place B35-36 in the middle of a window?

B35 and B36 indeed have a full window view.

As for playing seat plan lottery - watch this space, some of us are working on a solution for that!

Thank you! So I guess I got lucky -I did refresh the seat preference some fifty times though. While browsing different dates out of curiosity I noticed that the "only few seats left" trains actually had the best seats available, so the earlier you book, the crappier seats you get?
