In a handy animated form from the Guardian - http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/data...ground-traffic-over-typical-day-tube-stations

How busy is your commute? A day's tube traffic visualised for every station

Consumer research company Culture of Insight has plotted a day's traffic on the London Underground, including charts for every station and line. For every station, bars represent the typical number of passenger entries per quarter hour from 5am to 1am. There are clear differences in the patterns at stations of different types and locations, with commuter areas and stations with national rail connections showing marked peaks in the morning and early evening, while popular destinations for food, drink and entertainment show single peaks in the late evening. For each line (including the Docklands Light Railway) the quarter-hourly distribution of passenger numbers is played out in an animation. Use the buttons to change between showing data for a single station or for all stops on a given line.
