Bar an extra service which started last week, there's nothing after 8pm or on Sundays. This line would have benefitted from being under TfL control.

Only between Nunhead and Lewisham. Denmark Hill to Nunhead, and Lewisham to Barnehurst/Dartford most definitely have services after 8pm and on Sundays.

I guess they decided that Nunhead-Lewisham doesn't warrant it at these times as there's plenty of other services serving the rest of the line. Would there actually be paths into Victoria for any extra services onto this route? Likely not.

It depends on what you'd consider 'plenty' for South London. Denmark Hill to Nunhead are only served by 2tph to Blackfriars during evenings and Sundays with no direct service to Victoria and most if not all the Southeastern metro services only have 2tph at these times.

Compare that to Southern which runs at least 4tph on most metro services and London Overground in South London which has at least 4tph on all branches until late evening. Southeastern Metro is hardly turn up and go all day in comparison to other TOC's in the area.
