What is it that people have against sending things to people?

My website wont be back soon, so as long as the readme is included then I wouldent see a problem.

Although I have updated my version and it will be uploaded when my site is back.

Along with Finchley Road to Charing Cross ;)

because it is unauthorised. I wouldn't like it if people were re-distributing something I'd spent ages on.

I would be happy that people want to have it. It's freeware, so why would it matter where they got it from?

It's already been released into the public domain so people are only passing round something which was available for everyone in the world to download. There's nothing wrong with that...

There is no written rule that suggests you cannot send people files which have previously been released. Un-released material maybe...but otherwise...

I thinks it good, if it's freeware and has been released then it's ok providing it's the Authors Original work, not edited it in anyway, not been sold. It's also saving Bandwidth.

However if it it's been withdrawn by the Author such as Copyright Infringements then it's wrong.

I went to BVE Routes-Trains and clicked on the link for the LT1996 train. It sent me to a spam site with no hint of BVE on the search results.

You went to the Jubilee Line section of BRT I guess? In which case, the LT1996 link takes you to www.docklandslightrail.com which is where the train was originally hosted. However, as the OP observed this is now offline so your best bet is to get someone to e-mail it to you.

Didn't think to put in my e-mail address. I was afraid that i would get 10 or 15 copies of the train in my inbox. Without an e-mail address, I will recieve 0.

Just to let people know, the 1996 stock is useless with openBVE, it has a huge texture problem.
