Lowestoft freight

Earlier this week there was a freight working to Lowestoft, with a return the next day with a Colas 56. Does anybody know if this will become a regular thing? As being from the area it would be nice to see some freight for a change! Thanks in advance

I think this must be the imported spent ballast from Holland for recycling by Land Recovery at Longport

New freight flow. Norwegian dredged stone brought in by ship for distribution to Longport. Was always planned after resignalling & remodelling of the yard at Lowestoft.

Thanks for the info! I did start to wonder what the point of the newly laid track in the yard was as it never got used and started to have some overgrow haha

Yes I know. Hopefully Sizewell C will get the go ahead which should provide even more freight traffic. The tamper siding sees regular use however.
