I was looking into buying some Lower Quad Semaphore for my 00 layout, and I came across the Ratio signal control kit, has anyone tried this and, if so, is it any good and does it work with just Ratio signals?

I've tried the Ratio system with one signal. It works, but needs careful adjustment. If you use small screw-eyes to change direction of the control thread try and keep the changes of direction small - at most a right-angle, preferably less.

Main problem is that the signals, being all plastic, are easily damaged, particularly if the layout is a portable one.

If you are using other makes of signal I'd be inclined to use another control system - wire in tube, rods under the baseboard or solenoids.

Thanks, I'll probably use wire though tubes for the signals, rather than the ratio kit
