And don't forget in the Royal Train also :p

And NMT? Doubt it would be possible to bring back the prototype rake, especially 41002, but 41001/43000 could be paired with a production Mk3 set and 43 in the future.

Don't suppose the 43 + Mk3 (or Mk4) + 91 set counts as a lost class :P Would be nice to see the remaining APT-P in service but I doubt it would be feasible... Hmm.

Add to that a class 16, 21, 22, 29, 70 (Bulleid electric loco).

Several of these types could have been saved if circumstances had been different.
D601 and D6122 remained intact at Woodham's scrapyard, Barry until 1980 (an attempt were made to save D601 but was unsuccessful). Both locos were cut up in July 1980.
D6319 was sold for preservation but cut up by Swindon Works in error.
KESTREL survived intact in Russia until 1993.

I heard that tail too. The would-be owner was offered a Warship instead.

It wouldnt be possible to form the full rake. But would be good if as much as possible could be reformed. And your right, 2 former protoype catering cars do form part of the NMT.

D821 was chosen.

Found the list I was looking for. Two carriages have been scrapped so yes, the full rake can't be reformed.
