Hi guys bit of a tough one this!
I was out walking my dog in Marykirk an there's a street called station road so it's got me wondering how many train stations have disappeared off the Glasgow/Edinburgh-Aberdeen line and if they've been refurbished and re-opend I know about Larenckirk and heard this would happen to more

Ewan Crawford's excellent site has an interactive map - if you click on a line then the page that pops up shows which stations are open/closed (mostly for Scotland).

Not just stations but in some cases entire lines have gone such as the line from Perth to Montrose via Forfar. In fact I seem to remember the mile markers along the side of the track from Montrose North to Aberdeen (if they are still there of course) are still measured from somewhere like Carlisle via the closed line through Forfar.

To further to what flymo says, these are the milepost origins for the lines the OP enquired about:
Edinburgh-Aberdeen
Edinburgh Waverley-Dundee East - measured from Edinburgh Waverley via Kirkcaldy;
Dundee East-St Vigean's Jn - measured from Dundee East;
St Vigean's Jn-Kinnaber Jn - measured from Dundee Tay Bridge station;
Kinnaber Jn-Aberdeen - measured from Carlisle via Perth and Forfar.

(St Vigena's Jn is just north of Arbroath; Dundee Tay Bridge station is the current Dundee station; Kinnaber Jn is a few miles north of Montrose.)

Glasgow Queen St-Dundee
Glasgow Queen St-Larbert Jn - measured from Glasgow Queen St HL;
Larbert Jn-Perth South Jn - measured from Carlisle by Ravenscraig No. 1;
Perth South Jn-Dundee Central Jn - measured from Dundee West;
Dundee Central Jn - joins line from Waverley.

(The Larbert, Perth and Dundee junctions mentioned are just to the south of the respective stations.)

In 1956 the majority of stations between Glasgow and Aberdeen/Dundee were closed. It cause something of a sensation at the time.....
