I live in New Zealand and I am trying to source some mk2 coaches which I can purchase.
Thanks
Thanks
I should have been more clear, I need to source real mk2 carriages that can run on the main line. Mk2's have been running in New Zealand for quite a few years now and they have proven that they are good runners. Do you know where there are any dumped mk2s as well?
Thanks
Sorry, I was pulling your leg
I think it is fair to say that you will need to have some discussions with some of the stock owners. You may also want to look at possibly activating a legal representative in the UK (once you have undertaken a desktop survey) to act on your behalf because some businesses will not enter into any discussions unless your interest comes through a legal representative.
I think what you are doing is a good way to find out where they are. I would urge that in any representation, you give more background detail about who you are and what your demands are for railway stock.

What about the mark2s at Crewe, some of which are wearing Intercity swallow livery. Who's are those and do they ever get used? The ones stored in Yeovil are owned by Devon & Cornwall Railways / BARS, and having looked at them last year, wouldn't touch those with a bargepole as the condition of them means realistically, there only good for scrapping. As for the Eastleigh Mk2s - They are Eversholt & possibly Porterbrook Owned.
Are we meant to think that the OP is serious (and wanting dumped coaches to run on New Zealand's railways)?

Glad it wasn't only me :?
They are owned by Riviera Trains and are used fairly regularly on railtours. They also recently saw use working relief trains out of London during the Olympics. What about the mark2s at Crewe, some of which are wearing Intercity swallow livery. Who's are those and do they ever get used?
