Looking for assessment and MMI advice

Just looking for a bit of advice.

With the MMI, do you get asked questions about the company or such questions as why should we pick you over other candidates?

On the group bourdon does anybody know the number of lines required for a pass and enhanced pass?

Any general assessment day advice would be great.

Hi,

The MMI is competency based, so will solely be regarding what you’ve done when presented with certain situations. You’ll write your answers down to the questions, then be told to explain each one in the interview and you’ll be probed by the interviewer. Actually I found it better than the average interview because at least you know what you’re going to be asked about, rather than trying to second guess and think on your feet. There’s a wealth of similar topics here with advice on this subject.

I genuinely don’t think anybody knows the answer about the Group Bourden Test, or if indeed there is an answer. I answered about half of all boxes and passed. It’s about accuracy at speed. It’s strange as it’s one of the only tests I had to redo when going through the Freightliner process, as my original results I’m assuming did not meet the enhanced standard, however it was the test I found easiest and certainly don’t recall doing any fewer lines the first time round or making any mistakes? I don’t think I made any mistakes this time round and am quite confident with that. So just be accurate. No point finishing them all and getting half wrong.

I managed 16 lines on each with I assume not many if any mistakes. I was never shown my result. Just got told I passed.

You get asked 6 questions on the assessment day that you answer in the MMI. Which comes after the DMI .
The DMI is more intense even though the interview itself is very relaxed. If you prepare properly then you'll smash it.
MMI I felt was a test of you self control and calmness. As several times the interviewer tried to unsettle me. But didn't.

Prepare well and relax.

ESONEULB, you mention this is after the DMI but I have not had that yet. All other threads on this topic suggest that it goes Application > Assessment > MMI > DMI > Medical

It varies. It can be either. Some of those at my stage two had MMI>DMI and some the other way round, but all the same day (this was only because it’s easier this way round when you have several attendees fornthe assesments). It’s usually MMI first from experience as if you fail this you won’t go to DMI. Seems more logical? Also, some here the results of the MMI the same day, others don’t. I guess it depends on their workload? I heard I’d passed my MMI within about 5-minutes, then went straight to DMI.

Different operating companies run different recruitment processes , my MMI was before my DMI

I thought that as well when I went through the process.

My DMI happened before my MMI.

As you see from the posts above it obviously changes depending on your TOC
