Frequently pass Crewe and see a selection of 90s and 92s stored, some of which have clearly been there for an age and look as if they will never work again.
Also aware of various 60s & 67s which are stored, some long term, and there are other units and locos of all types stored all over the country.
Question is do any of these long term stored locos and units ever come back into use after years, maybe decades out of use?
What is the longest a loco or unit has been stored for and then come back from the dead and been put back into use? Will qualify that this back into use on the network for some form of day to day service - not being repaired for a heritage line, and also going to dismiss complete reclassification (47 > 57, 56 > 69 etc).
