Seems a likely contender for the longest Class 142 journey, as it's via Sheffield (90 miles). My other thought would have been Leeds to Heysham Port, but that comes in at only 76 miles. Any other ideas, anyone?

Exeter St. Davids to Penzance or Newcastle to Manchester Piccadilly?

Exeter-Penzance is a 150.
What route goes from Newcastle-Manchester?
Sunday's only Southport-Chester might be another contender too.

Exeter to Penzance has very occasionally been a 142 however.
Newcastle to Manchester is now part of First Transpennine Express. When it was operated by Arriva Trains Northern it was frequently substituted for a pacer or 156 as the 3-car 158's (with first class) were being used for all stations services around West Yorkshire!
