Hi all does any body have any info regarding an open day or days at Long Marston M O D site ..any help would be appreciated thanks Eddie .

I believe the group that used to organise the Long Marston Open Days folded (could be wrong) and there aren't any plans for open days for the forseeable future. A great shame as those endless rows of west coast AC sparkies get into an even more sorry state.

I should imagine there's very few locos left there now. Both the electrics and Harry Needle's rusting hulks have been steadily making their way to EMR's scrapyard at Kingsbury. There is still, however, that last MkIII TSO I need for sight... ;)
