Long Marston workings today (6th)

[ABB125]

Does anyone know what these were, and what they were doing?

I assume that they were the same locomotive, going light engine to Long Marston, picking up some sort of engineering stuff, and then taking it to Doncaster.
When I heard it go past, it sounded like quite an old locomotive (possibly class 37/47)
