Motorail Logistics are proud to announce the Long Marston Open Weekend 2009 taking place on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th June.
Vintage buses are running to and from Stratford Upon Avon and Honeybourne Stations to the site on an hourly basis.
The line up so far is:
Guest Locomotives Include:
- Class 50, 50035
- Class 50, 50026
- Class 50, 50044
- Class 37, 37308
- Class 37/9, 37906
- Class 73, 73006
- Class 47, 47580
- Virgin 57/3 "Thunderbird"
- GBRF 66/7
- J94 Austerity 0-6-0
- Ex MOD Shunter "Mulberry" 0-6-0
Plus a Couple of surprises.
Stored Locos on show at the weekend include:
- Police 47829
- ex DRS 20903 20902
- Intercity Class 86, 86228 "Vulcan Heritage"
- Electric Traction & Europhoenix Electrics (87/86)
- Plus lines of class 20's, 37's, wagons, coaches etc.
ALL LOCOMOTIVES SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY, NOT ALL WAGONS AND COACHES WILL BE ON SHOW.
Other attractions include:
- Low Chinook Flypast on Saturday morning at 11:30
- Vintage Vehicles including cars, lorries and buses
- Railway shuttles around the site
- A Railway Raffle will take place on Sunday at 14:00
- Stratford & Broadway Railway Society (SBRS) opening their doors
- A wide range of trade stands
Travel:
- Car parking facility at Long Marston plus disabled parking.
- Routemaster bus shuttling from Stratford on Avon station
- Bristol RE shuttling from Honeybourne station
Price:
- £15 adult
- Children under 14 FREE (Must be accompanied by an adult)
