The parallel streets between Wightman Road and Green Lanes look like the rungs of a ladder on a map, and are widely known as The Haringey Ladder. See also The Toastrack (around Baskerville Road in Wandsworth Common).

Surprised nobody has mentioned Camden Town yet............there's good reasons why they've wanted/needed to rip it up and start all over again for at least a couple of decades. It scores highly on crap/dangerous layout AND environs that can get a bit dicey after dark.
