This Londonist article uses a picture of a TL 319 for the Southern Strikes, even with this caption underneath:

Southern is one of the train operators that may suffer from the strikes

It's all the same train company; the company often uses the wrong route branded stock, in this case the colours are for their "Southern" route brand but there is a tiny "Thameslink" logo barely visible. The photo doesn't really matter and arguably is not in any way incorrect; commuters know that any logos and colours can turn up on any service.

While there is nothing wrong with the photo, the caption is clearly incorrect and should read "Govia Thameslink is one of the train operators..."; there has been no train operator of the name Southern since late 2015 (if I recall correctly).

Almost all pictures both in print and on the TV relating to the strikes on Northern, features footage of the old franchise, with the old logo and the 'A Serco Abellio Joint Venture' branding on show.
