A colleague of mine has a single from London Underground Zones 1-2 to Didcot Parkway for travel tomorrow. He also holds a season ticket between East Grinstead and London Terminals. Ideally, he would travel from East Grinstead to Farringdon on Thameslink, and thence to Paddington by H&C/Circle Line.

Is London Zones U12 to Didcot Parkway valid from London Bridge to Farringdon on Thameslink? Or does this combination mean he has to change at London Bridge and take the Jubilee and Bakerloo lines to Paddington?

Yes, it's valid - U-zone tickets are interavailable for travel on National Rail services on the Thameslink Core between London Bridge/Elephant & Castle and West Hampstead/Kentish Town, including intermediate journeys.

Thank you very much for the quick answer - I suspected it would be fine but couldn't find the right information for the life of me! Much appreciated. :)

I don't doubt you, but is there an official source that passengers can refer to, because this is the first I've heard of this easement.
