Being Oxfordshire based,i wonder if you can do Banbury-London-Banbury for a quid!!!

:( Wouldn't have thought so.

Southbound 'Wrexham and Shropshire' services are set down only at Banbury, aren't they? (And pick up only in the reverse Northbound direction).

Are there time restrictions?

If not, I'm tempted to get the 0645 Marylebone-Wrexham and returning on one of the afternoon services...

A bloody good deal, but I doubt I can find the effort to buy the magazine first! It's quite some effort (and fares!) to get to the WSMR route first mind from here, so all in it's just as cheap for me to go FGW to London or LM to Birmingham and CR to London.

Hmmm. Wonder if one could do Shrewsbury - Marylebone return for £1? I could connect to that with an Arriva Wales service from Wilmslow. Probably not a great saving over a cheapo Virgin to Euston, but it's a route I'd like to try.

Can you get 1st class upgrades on W&S?

I've been told the offer isn't as great as it sounds. It only valid for the first train from London, and last train back.
