Before I start, I'm counting new liveries as '1 new livery' and an old livery with new branding (or slightly modified livery) as 'half a new livery'.
Yesterday myself and Dad went to London with no plan other than to see the GC HST and try and see some of the other new(ish) liveries that we'd not yet snapped. Now with no gen it was probably a long shot, and things didn't look to good when we missed one train due parking issues (oh how I love my scooter and the free motorcycle parking area
) and when our train ground to a halt alongside a 450 near Esher. Not to worry though - it was just a bridge strike so we were on the move within a minute or two. Anyway, upon arrival at Waterloo we made our way to KGX to find the GC set sat in the platform, surrounded by the white-stripe NatEx rakes (so that was one and a half new liveries down for both of us straight away).
After this we took a quick trip across the road to St Pancras where the EMT-liveried Class 222 came in just minutes after us arriving - the chances of that were what exactly? The strangest thing was that the staff let us onto the platform to take a quick snap without tickets - in my experience you normally get evils just looking at the trains
But yeah - so that's another 'whole' new livery down.
We then made our way to Euston where we stumbled upon 350117 with three of it's four corners missing a chunk of yellow which makes it look a bit odd. We thought that seeing a London Midland 350 was pretty unlikely, and when we go out things never seem to work. We were about to head off having seen a London Overground unit (so this was another two 'half' new liveries seen anyway). But no, wait - "is that green?". Yes it was, and down the bank into the station came 350106 - just a minute later and we'd have missed it
So that was 1.5 new liveries at KGX, 1 at St Pancras and a total of 2 at Euston (so 4.5). Not bad for an hour-or-two in total without gen we thought. That 350 could potentially have been miles away after all, as could 350117.
We then got on the 205 bus (Travelcard veg...) bound for Mile End, alighting at Liverpool Street. From there we took a quick trip to Stratford where we saw that already the 'one' livery was dying. Countless Class 315s and Mk3 rakes rolled by with no rainbows and just the outline visible of where the word 'one' was once displayed. We did, however, see a couple of 37s (...and a Shed) so it wasn't too bad I guess.
After Stratford we did other things, so yeah - if you include the brandless 'one' units and coaching stock as a 'half' then that brings our 4.5 total to 5. Unfortunately the NatEx livery was not seen on our little jolly to the GEML or ECML but nevermind.

If you were in a new livery then we may have considered it of a higher importance.... but you weren't
