Hi i have a question. I will be going to London from Friday 29th October to Monday 1st November this year. I will be travelling from Thorpe Bay station on the c2c line to Custom House (for the Excel Centre) on the DLR on the Friday, and then doing the return on the Monday.

I am planning to travel off-peak so the fare will be less but I am wondering if anyone has any ideas as to what the cheapest method of doing this might be. I have no railcards either.

At the moment I am considering getting a travelcard on the Friday as that will cover me the whole way, plus I may be going round London on the Friday afternoon and would cover me for that.

Thank you for your assistance :D

Have you any plans to travel around on the Saturday or Sunday?
I know its planning for October, but...

also - are you eligible for any railcards?

He already knows [the first half of] this (he first asked months ago...!), but I am of the opinion that he should walk to West Ham (circa 3km) and travel from there, or (if heavily laden which he may be) use the DLR straight through, which *should* be open by then. Maybe he should get an Oyster

I'll most likely not be travelling on the sat or sun, but if i do itll be later in the evening. Also there is a very high chance i will have a lot of stuff with me while i travel - especially on the way back

Also, I am not likely to get any railcards by then
