Hi All, I'm asking to see if myself and a friend are aloud to take pics on a Victoria Line train?, as Ive just realised the 1967 stock will be replaced, and I'm asking to find out wether we're aloud?.

I'm not sure exactly. But I imagine that they don't want you to sell the pictures or anything like that. I think uploading to a Fotopic will be okay though.

You can apply to the LT office and get a non-commercial permit if you really want to. Esepcially if you are a student say.

You don't need a permit for casual photography though.

Besides, you get plenty of tourists down there waving their flash around!

Er, a considerable portion of it is underground... and the Victoria is entirely.

Thus the flash is in a more contined environment than it is in the open.

Yes. A flash in a dark underground station is going to be VERY distracting and startling to a driver, or even passengers walking along the platform.

Well, lock yourself in a dark cupboard for a while, then set off the flash and open the doors, and see what it does to your eyes. That's why it's not permitted...

Anyone who uses a flash to take a general picture of a train, especially above ground will come out with a rubbish shot anyway.
