Hi
I have seen several technical/engineering roles at TFL/LUL that I am interested in, I believe they are not classed as operational and has a Q grade, however they would be partially site/track based and involve unsociable hours working. Can someone tell me how salary banding and pay-scales work at LU please? The jobs were advertised with a salary "from £xx,xxx" with no upper range. I have been able to find some pay related info online and they indicate that the job titles have a salary range of roughly £20k, which is quite large. Is it fair to expect the upper end of the range based on experience? Or is there more to it than that, such as pay-points within grades or can managers set their own ranges with the overall grade etc? Thanks
