Has anyone actually passed assessment and received a rejection yet from the CV/Cover letter checks? 2 months now since i passed assessment and only email i had was 3 weeks ago apologising for long delay and would give me the outcome soon. Still heard nothing
People are still giving their assessments
Yes but 1 person on here got an interview end of the month so they are sending the outcomes

No I know two people who are still waiting the outcome on the CV/cover letting screening. I would say just be patient as frustrating as it can be waiting

Hi, ok so the interview was ok, I cannot guess how I did if I’m honest because I’m not great at interviews and have a habit of waffling on and get nervous at interviews, they said I should know the outcome in the first week of July

Ok good luck. It’s such a long process recruitment. I’m still waiting on interview outcome after passing assessment 2 months ago. Did they say much about the role in terms of how many they are taking on?
So you have already had an interview 2 months ago and still not heard from them ? Ok that’s along time, all they said was that people will find out results of interview in July but I was hoping it would be sooner then that just so I know either way, from what I remember they said there is 21 positions for the role.

Hi it was CBI and it took approx 45 mins
Ok, when I was there other people were there doing the first assessment so there’s still lots going on,

Yes, after the interview you complete a form reviewing your experience with them

Yeh checked already and only has my emails already sent. I guess just have to be patient

Hi! I received an email this morning regretting to inform me that I have been unsuccessful after the CV check and won't progress to an interview. I know 2 other people that have received this same email this morning - I waited over 5 weeks with no contact (I didn't get a 'please be patient email' like they did) whilst the other people waited over 8 weeks.
I called the recruitment team this morning requesting feedback for myself and wanting to leave a review of my experience. Only internal applicants get feedback and this post for the Operations Control Operator does not offer candidates to review their experience. However, there is the option to email with any feedback, experience and advice regarding the recruitment process.
I know lots of you here, and probably other people who don't actively comment on the forum, have been in a similar experience and would like to leave some feedback to the recruitment team. If you would like to, you can email recruitment@tfl.gov.uk

The whole thing been a bit of a farce if you ask me and that’s not me being bitter i didn’t get an interview because i said this previously. Some of us have had to take time off work to attend this assessment in London and some of us passed it only to have to wait around for 2 months to be told our CV’s haven’t passed the interview stage. There’s slow, then there’s ridiculous and waiting over 2 months for an answer is a joke

From what I have gathered this is a huge recruitment drive where lots of people are tested but for not many positions, that’s I apply and will literally try to forget about it as they can take sometime, I had my interview last week but will have to wait until mid July for the results so there must be lots going on, but yes I get what you are saying regarding taking time off work etc
I too got the same rejection today. Unlike others I have to say the process was pretty quick, I had the assessment, got the result within days that I passed and will be going through to CV stage, then only a couple of weeks to get the disappointing news. I have found this forum really helpful and it seems externals like myself were always a long shot, but at least I tried and hopefully there will be another opportunity in the future. This is the point I’ve been making from the start - it is a campaign that has received hundreds of applications for around 30 jobs in total - internal and external. I would actually consider this to have been on the quicker side of TfL Recruitment also - and I say that with a decade’s experience with the company.
Ultimately taking time off work for an interview is a personal choice - if you didn’t care about the role then you wouldn’t or shouldn’t have done that. I don’t really understand the point being made here.
The reality of life is that sometimes you will succeed, and sometimes things won’t work out. Whilst it’s a shame that feedback isn’t offered externally you should still make the most of the experience and use it to press ahead in future. There will absolutely be more TfL roles available in the future, including in control.
I’m certainly not the only one complaining about the length of time it has taken for an answer. You’re obviously going to be biased because you work for them, but my opinion is taking all that time to go through the stages of passing the assessment then having to wait 9 weeks to be told you haven’t gone through to the next stage is poor communication and poor timing regardless of the size of the applicants.
That makes no sense at all. What do you mean? That if someone didn’t care about the role they shouldn’t of taken time off work to complete an interview it’s literally the opposite.

Absolutely, they should have the adequate amount of staff to deal with so called “high volume recruitment “ it doesn’t take that long to look at a cv and decide whether it’s good for a interview or not

I feel your frustration. The only option is to email the recruitment team with feedback. Whether anything changes in the future is another matter but at least you have the chance to voice your concerns.
