This is a external role however the deadline passed for it so u can’t applyHello.
Just a quick question.
This role is it for internal application only?
Do TFL have an internal website for internal recruitment or is it the same than external application?
Thank you for your help
I started my application before it closed but then they put this question. This is a external role however the deadline passed for it so u can’t apply
I started my application before it closed but then they put this question.
This job site is exclusively for TfL/LU employees and temporary workers employed by a temporary work agency who are covered under the Agency Workers Regulations. You are normally covered by the Agency Workers Regulations if you have a contract of employment with the agency, or any other contract to perform work and services personally for the agency, except where you are providing services to TfL or the agency on a self-employed basis. Please indicate your employment status:
So I didn't submitted it, but I was wondering why they put an internal offer in an external job offer?

They’ll probably explain how to address the recording when your thereHi
Just wanted to know, when you write down your passage after listening to the audio two times, do you start off by writing this is an emergency call am I speaking to the Traffic manager/control operator?
Can anyone shed any light on this when they completed the listening test.
Thanks for responding. They’ll probably explain how to address the recording when your there
When do you have your testThanks for responding.
If anyone else knows any information to my above question, please do let me know.
Without wanting to sound like Little Alex Horne off Taskmaster… all the information you need will be given to you.
The best advice for the communications test is to follow the same standard that you’ll be expected to follow if you get the job: ABC-P
Accurate
Brief
Clear
Professional
If it’s the test I think it is, you’re mainly extracting the important information needed in bullet point form - perhaps someone who has done it can elaborate?
But ultimately, I re-iterate the ABC-P principle above: you’re not going to be expected to understand the intricacies of railway comms (e.g. “This is in an emergency call” - and this isn’t something the role would be involved with either as a non-safety critical role) and simply showing that you can parse information and prioritise correctly is going to get a tick in the box
Final interviewWhat is the next stage after CV check?
28th MayWhen do you have your test
Ish.
This role is based in what is currently the London Underground Control Centre (LUCC), but is becoming the Rail Control Centre (RCC) as part of the re-org that has introduced this role.
The Operations Control Operator will essentially manage and co-ordinate information around incidents across, primarily, the LUL network. It's not 'hands on' in terms of dealing with the incident, but is a central point that station and line control rooms may be in contact with. Think calling ambulances, alerting line teams to problems reported on social media and keeping the service status/rainbow boards updated as necessary.
It's a very interesting and rewarding role with importance to the running of the network, and a great entry level if you - in particular - want to move into service control.
Hopefully that answers the question!
Will internally it will be still referred to as lucc when taking calls and stuffIsh.

To be fair they should of went back to noc that’s sounds collective of everything but I also wanted to ask if you do get this job is there a specific uniform you have to wear or is it smart casualIt shouldn’t be, but given I still hear people referring to the NOC (Network Operations Centre, pre-LUCC) and other archaic phrases, LUCC will exist for a long time.
Staff in the RCC though should of course refer to it as such when leading on comms, as per ABC-P as posted above.
