London trip with Yorkshire Post offer. Sun 29th Jan 2012

Had a trip to London today (Sunday 29th Jan), taking advantage of the East Coast/Yorkshire Post offer, with the plan to do some winner branchlines & get a few winner units in at the sametime.

Did the 1005 off Leeds (43317/290) arriving at Kings Cross around 1230ish. Got my Travelcard from the FCC machine then caught a Cambridge to Finsbury Park which was a pair of winning 365's (508/531). On to the vic line to Seven Sisters to do the Enfield Town branch on 315811, returned to Seven Sisters on 317888 at 1353 (Hertford East service starting at Enfield due to engineeing work I think).

Back on to the Vic Line to Walthamstow Central then upto Chingford on 317886, waited 25mins, then did 315846 through to Liv St.

Plan was then go up to Stratford, then onto the DLR, but noticed a C2C service so took that to Barking (357019/016). From there it was a District Line service to Whitechapel, then onto the Overground to New Cross (378143). It was then onto Lewisham on a pair of 465's (157/050) and onto the DLR, which was only going to Island Garden due to engineering work, so did the same pair (58/64) back to Greenwich.

376009 took me to London Bridge and returned to Kings Cross via the Northern line. After a Pizza express, it was 91128 all the way to Skipton.

Seems like you had a great day out 43167 although Sunday must be the worst day to be traveling around due to engineering works on various lines.

Keep you're eyes peeled in the Fares section, I had a free set but they've been snapped up now.

Was ok to befair. Got abit of bonus track with the C2C going from Liverpool St. And with Cheshunt services been diverted to Enfield Town, that ment I was able to have 2 different units. Not too many Planned closures on the underground ethier.
