What about it? AFAIK the tube is essentially running at full capacity already. That being said the Tube is a fantastic feat of engineering and organisation, I can't see any problem there.

I can't see 24 hour running being necessary either, especially at the periphery.

When it comes to NR services all I can imagine happening is an enhanced service in terms of the lengthening the working day with any major engineering works suspended for the duration.

If anything I'll be feeling sorry for those going about their day to day business in London and having to cope with the tourists and luggage :p

Tube will be a lot busier and probably wont be any different in service, unless the Jubilee Line miraculously becomes extremely better and has no disruptions. I also assume that National Rail services will have extra and longer trains, although during Mon-Fri, especially at peak times, where will the extra coaches come from ? All the Overground work should be completed though, which should be a good thing.

Well, London underground has a traffic light or something like that over 120 years old , for spares they might have to go to a museum.
