London to Coventry- Loco Haulage?

Looking at doing this on Sunday 2nd October, can't see any Chiltern locos out, so is there a cheap way of coming up to Oxford on a GWR HST and on to Coventry cheaply?

16-25 railcard, would prefer to leave after 1pm.

I haven't looked at specific prices but from the London direction I would look at splitting your ticket at Banbury, often works for me....

What have you found so far? Have you tried Trainsplit.com?

So i've totally forgotten about this- and even worse forgotten my outbound.

It was £3.65 for the last 68 out of LMS but now it's gone up to £19!

Am I best just getting a off peak ticket and getting locos both days

EDIT: There's a cheap Pendo out tomorrow, but nothing cheap coming back!
