Hi everyone,

I'm travelling London to Chester and return twice in 8 days. I have PRIV and Arriva staff pass and believe the following is my best bet unless some has anything better?

2 x EUS - MKC Anytime day single
2 x MKC - EUS Anytime day single
2 x MKC - RUG Anytime day single
2 x RUG - MKC Anytime day single
2 x RUG - TAM Anytime return
1 x 4 in 8 Coasts and Peaks

£55.75

Thanks!

You can get an SOS/SOR which is valid between Chester and London for £18.15/£36.25 Return with PRIV. It's definitely valid, i.e., complies with the routeing guide, but some staff may not understand the validity.

Perhaps not best being disclosed openly, however. PM me if you want further info.

But, I assume you would need 2 x lots of £36.25 = £72.50.

Good for one return journey though!

Chiltern to Brum / Arriva to Chester direct or with change at shrewsbury , grand sum of £0 with a staff pass

Might be the long way round, but its free. Could do it quicker with the addition of a priv SOR from Birmingham to Crewe using LM or Virgin then the Arriva shuttle to Chester

Last alternative is LM SOR to Crewe on a priv £21 odd off the top of my head
