Well the New line is due to get the approval today, is it going to be a waste of our (the tax payers 32 billion) money, or will it ease the busy network we already have. Whos Tory/Liberal mate will get the first franchise??

HS2 documents now on DfT web site - unable to download at the moment.
More tunnels. It will be a black hole south of Aylesbury.

Terrible debate raging on R5 Live with Waterman and Wolmar going for each other. Nihilists and NIMBYS triumph.
Luckily, for once, the government is doing the right thing.

Some WCML changes apparently, at the junction with HS2.
Can't see anything detailed about the Y route.
