London Terminals & the Underground

Hi,

I am looking to move and my journey would be from Cuffley to London Terminals (my intended station is Kings Cross).

However, as my train is not direct into Kings Cross as they only go to Moorgate I read somewhere that there is dual availability on the Picadilly Line and Victoria Lines between Finsbury Park and Kings Cross.

Therefore if I purchase a London Terminals ticket can I get off the train at Finsbury Park and connect to Kings Cross via the LUL using either the Victoria or Picadilly lines without incurring any extra charges? Otherwise it will mean getting off at Finsbury Park and waiting for another overground train.

Any help of clarification would be of help.

The answer is 'Yes'

As your ticket is valid from north of London to London on a map that passes through Finsbury park, you can use the Victoria or Piccadilly Line to complete your journey

The Manual states that

National Rail tickets which include validity between Finsbury Park and London Terminals are also valid on LU / DLR services between Finsbury Park and Kings Cross / St Pancras Und but intermediately at Highbury & Islington only (Victoria Line / Piccadilly Line), and also between Kings Cross / St Pancras Und and Moorgate (via Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City and Northern Lines), but intermediately at Old Street only.

So, yes, you are permitted to do what you proposed.

Asked at the station and they knew nothing about it.

Just wanted to make sure I can get out/enter the barriers at Kings Cross underground station.

Where it states intermediate at Highbury and Islington I assume this means I can change from the BR to the LUL but not exit the station and vice versa.

Available intermediately means you can enter/exit the station.

It also means that when using the Tube on a London Terminals ticket to travel between Kings Cross and Old Street, you can't exit at Angel.

Well to be pedantic, that would be not available intermediately. Available intermediately means you can exit at the station concerned, as bb21 said.

Correct, you cannot exit at Angel.

It is available at the named stations and intermediately at Highbury & Islington and Old Street only. It is not available intermediately at any other station.
