London Terminal CIV validity period

I find out that there are no return tickets available for London Terminal CIV to intercity services in the UK, with many of the single tickets (std / 1st) has the validity of 2 months in replace of the removal of returns.

Does it mean that the ticket is valid to hold for 2 months to use, which allows the holder to stay in London / Europe for longer to continue the UK leg journeys?

The only fare setter which has removed all of its CIV returns appears to be Avanti. Most other operators, with the exception of LNER on a handful of flows, still price return tickets in the normal way.

And yes, London International CIV singles are valid for 2 months. This is actually more generous than the validity on the outward portion of an equivalent return (which is only 1 day).

That's more an issue of when you will be sold a CIV ticket. If you are sold one, it's valid for two months.

And even technically, you may even use the LU service on the day and stay in London for couple of weeks, before continuing the journey.

I would wonder what will be the reaction of conductors onboard from London terminals.

That depends on what you're told when buying your ticket. There is nothing on the ticket that explicitly gives any such restriction.

You are/were only supposed to be sold one with evidence of the international ticket, but that's slightly different....
