I have an Off Peak Return from London Terminals to Swinton (South Yorkshire) cost £79.95 with YP Railcard bought by employer which I used to travel outward on Friday, and due to travel back Sunday night.
However if I was to travel back Monday morning, the Off Peak Return is not valid until the 08:03 service changing at Doncaster.
Ideally I need to travel on the 05:49 from Swinton. Is it possible to 'excess' the Off Peak Return to the Weekend Return (£68.65 which is a cheaper option than the Off Peak, so not sure why Employer went for a more expensive and restrictive ticket) or would I only be able to excess to the Anytime Return (£122.10)?
