London - Reading Network Railcard

Using a Network railcard, I can get a weekday London - Reading Any Permitted off peak day return ticket for the £13 minimum fare.

I know I can use this ticket from Waterloo via Staines or from Paddington via Slough.

Am I right in thinking that I can start short at Richmond and catch the 1006 service to Reading even though this would have left Waterloo at 0950 - so I wouldn't have been able to catch it at Waterloo with the railcard discount?

I'm using Oyster to start at Blackhorse Road on the 0813 to Willseden Junction (low level) and it would be cheaper (by £1.50!) and easier to then get the next train to Richmond rather than Waterloo but I don't particularly want to hang around Richmond longer than necessary (nothing against Richmond, just want to get on with my trip!).

I see no problem with catching the 1006 from Richmond. You are not using your Railcard before 1000 and you are perfectly permitted to start short on that ticket.

unlike ticket restrictions the railcard minimum fares apply only to the time they are used and not the scheduled departure time of a given train.

Thanks guys. Thought it would be OK, just wasn't sure whether they'd say something along the lines of "You must have started before 10 as it's ticket from Waterloo/Vauxhall."
