Hi all,

Would be grateful for some help on a journey that I need to make tonight and tomorrow.

Outbound, I will be leaving my office in Farringdon at 1800 and need to get to Oxford for an event this evening. My initial thoughts are to travel from Paddington on an off-peak return ticket at £17.65 with my young persons railcard.

Tomorrow afternoon when returning home, I need to get back to my flat at Clapham Junction. To save the trip across town, would it not be easiest to change at Reading and board a London Waterloo service? If so what ticket would I need for this?

I have a z1-2 Oyster season ticket and dont mind going from Paddington to Clapham Junction, just thought I'd try and save myself the hassle!

Many thanks in advance :D

A London Terminals - Oxford off-peak return at £17.65 is valid from both Waterloo and Reading, and you can stop short at Clapham Junction on the way back.

You can save 40p by buying a Boundary Zone 2 - Oxford off-peak return, for £17.25. This will require waiting in a queue at a ticket office.
