My local station, South Kenton on the Watford - Euston local line, has never had TOD collection facilities, in fact the nearest collection point on the line has always been, rather inconveniently, Watford Junction or Euston.

Today however I booked some online tickets for a journey commencing at SOK and was, for the first time ever, offered collection from here, with a warning that the ticket office couldn't provide back up, so have their machines now been updated? I opted for free postage as I didn't want to risk it yet!

This begs another question; I have always regarded this station as ex BR, part of National Rail and now the LO network, but nowadays the ticket office staff seem to be LU employees, presumably this is why they cannot assist with TOD collections? I do hope the availability of through tickets to everywhere else on National Rail won't be withdrawn!

I have noticed this too. Picked up tickets at headstone lane last month which is much more convenient for myself.

However, I ordered on Virgin Trains (I think) and stated I could only pick up at certain times. Any reason for this?

Is the ticket machine locked away in the evenings?

Can you find the exact wording of what it said regarding pickup times?

South Kenton is a London Underground managed station on behalf of Network Rail. LU took over management from Silverlink of the Bakerloo line stations north of Queens Park with the exception of Willesden Junction which is LOROL managed.

I suspect the LU stations with NR TVMs were ToD enabled when the majority of LOROL's stations had it included considering the majority of these stations are ex Silverlink. (Previously ToD was only available at stations south of New Cross Gate on the ELL previously managed by Southern)

The ticket offices and ticket vending machines at these locations are operated by London Underground on behalf of London Overground, so the collection was available from the same time that most Overground stations had this facility enabled.

This is all I found on redspottedhanky...

Special Information about Harrow And Wealdstone (This was the same for South Kenton):
Available during station opening hours.

I bought tickets last month and the hours from memory were very restrictive. Ie. 9am - 2pm.
