Hello - I've tried searching for a thread similar to this that already exists but had no luck so far.
The other day I was travelling into Euston from the north on an Advance ticket and planning on catching the 2254 from St Pancras to Brighton with a seperate £15.40 Off Peak Single ticket. However I the train was delayed by overhead power problems at Wolverton for 2 hours.
In the end I went to Victoria and caught the 0100 to Brighton - my original £15.40 ticket was "Not Underground" so I used Oyster to cross London but the ticket barrier at Victoria accepted the ticket with no problem.
NRE also suggests travelling from St Pancras to Brighton at this time of night in this manner, using this ticket.
My question is: Is this a valid ticket?
If so great, as a Victoria to Brighton Off Peak Single is £24.10, over £9 more!
