This is planned, 2 Liverpool Diagrams have remained 350s.

Perhaps I should have worded it better - 'two of the six class 730 diagrams on the Birmingham - Liverpool circuit were worked by class 350 units today'
The other two diagrams ran as class 350 as booked but I'm sure you knew that anyway.

350246+350249 paired on Euston to Crewe route today
Even at this stage with so few 350/2s left, the old Central Trains “random unit allocator” is still in place and they’re unable to correctly allocate a 2+2 seated unit to this.

I was on "261" yesterday, 2Y62. Not having followed this thread, I was surprised to see any 350/2s in service, especially on a longer route. Fortunately I was able to sit in "First" as otherwise I would have moved to the other unit, once it started thinning out.

I know someone commented on the fact 246+249 were coupled the other day but I was onboard 350117 and passed them at Crewe and took a video and some pictures at Stafford as they overtook 350117.

I can attach the video too

Over the past couple of months, I've still been getting 350/2 sets in the morning on the direct (fast line) route from Milton Keynes to Euston. Really dislike the 3+2 seating, hope to see the last 6 sets out of lease/service over the next few months. Did notice lots of them stored at Wembley though!

Do we have an estimated date of withdrawal of what will be the last remaining 350/2? In other words, an estimated date of the start of the all-in-storage "379/175" situation for the 350/2s?
I assume 350/2 final standdown is based on getting all the 730/2s into traffic to totally replace them.
Are there any 730/0s left operating out of Euston, or have they all returned to the West Midlands sphere of operations ?

The 730/0s are still operating services out of Euston. I'm not sure anyone wants those services to be 5-car rather than 6-car whilst the units aren't needed in the West Midlands. Platform 10 at Euston remains a constraint on the operation of trains over 160m.

Is there actually a surplus of units on WMR / LnWR then one all the 730s are commissioned and in traffic ?
I was under the impression that the amending of the order to factory convert the 730/1 production into more 730/0, was to achieve the same result in displacing the 350/2.
In simple terms the new 730 fleet would allow stand down of the350/2s, buit are you suggesting there will be a surplus of AC units ?

true, and their rotten London midland interior, plus the onboard facilities get broken all the time, which makes me avoid these units when travelling, let’s hope they get off lease soon

On route to London this morning LNR announced the formation was shorter than usual (2 cars instead of 3), due to vandalism (windows smashed). Could be related to that.
Somebody was clearly very upset they were on a 350/2...

A 350/2 has 4 vehicles, so wouldn't it have been a 730/0 with one vehicle out of use?

I think they mean it was supposed to be 12 cars (3 sets) but instead was 8 cars (2 sets). I was sat on the 350/4 but saw the 350/2 it was paired to when it pulled up.
