My knowledge of this from my experience was that it can be quick if the company wants it to be quick. For GA from the day I got the job offer to starter was 1 month 2 days.

Although if a course starts on 8th April I imagine that is the start date of any course.

Congratulations, but also a word of warning: theres a very large group of people, myself included, who passed the interview and did our medicals back in November and still haven't heard anything about dates since, we've all been on hold. London Midlands HR department is a farce, so you might be in for a long wait.

Unfortunately, Maps has stopped.
I'm starting with London Midland next week. I was offered on the 6th of November, and start next monday, the 25th. That's over three months!! However the references were done pretty quickly, once I reminded them they hadn't been done!!! Bear in mind that LM have several HUGE recruiting campaigns, which of course in turn means several HUGE intakes, which requires the HR staff to be on the ball, all of the time. It can take a while for the correct wheels to turn. Sit patiently, they WILL eventually get sorted out.
