Hey chaps. As we are looking at enjoying the "Great Escape" this coming month, could anyone advise if there are unreserved seating coaches from Crewe to London? I don't mind standing, but I'd be happier if Mrs wijit and wijit junior had seats. Or can we reserve seats independently of the offer tickets?

London Midland don't do reserved seats - all seats are unreserved. :)

Have fun!

you could go with the first class tickets as no-one seems to sit in LM first class (outside of the peaks at least) which is mainly down to the fact that there is little point in it, but only you van judge if the additional expense is worth it..

In 4 car trains the unreserved coaches are A B C and D and in 8/12 car trains they are A B C D E F G H I J K L. Well maybe not quite them letters however but all coaches are unreserved but like at most London terminals you will have most chance of a seat in the very front coach

From my experience, the train has never been too busy from Crewe - quiet enough to get a seat anyway, so if you're travelling all the way to London you should be fine :) have fun!

Wish they would bring the at-seat trolley back on the Crewe services at least. They dont need to run throughout but part route would be most welcome.

From my experience on Great Escape Saturdays travelling from Nuneaton on the 08:02 (now the 08:26) to Euston, trains are usually full and standing upon arrival at Nuneaton. I even tried travelling from Tamworth once, that was full and standing at Tamworth!

A lot of people from the Midlands use the Great Escape offer to have a cheap day out in London. The same often applies with any offer like this, you should've seen the queue stretching out into the car park at Corby on EMT's last Red Dot Day in 2011!
