Hi folks waiting medical passed everything else in February rang them but not much indication on next stage ???

Took me around 20 months to go from passing assessments to being offered a start date (not for a Conductor's position). Just keep sending them a polite email every 6 - 8 weeks telling them you are still interested and keen to start.

They are running their training courses at full capacity at the moment one after the other with a queue of people waiting to start, possibly from recruitment drives previous to the one you took part in.

And they've also recently been advertising again for trainee conductors at Northampton and Bletchley, so they're clearly not done with the process of recruiting new starts and getting them training up. Hopefully you'll hear something soon!

I'm training at the moment to be a senior conductor and I applied for this in September last year and got offered the place in February.I know that there is a lot of people waiting for places and not enough trainers to train new recruits.
As has been said it is a matter of keeping in touch with a very over worked H.R. dept. and good luck.
